Alta has vast experience representing clients in diverse industries, including oil and gas, financial services and insurance, property, environment, maritime and shipping, forestry and plantation, and new and renewable energy projects.
Alta is also recognized for his thorough understanding of contracts and agreements such as sale and purchase, joint ventures, facility/loan agreements, security, licensing, FIDIC, and power purchase agreements. Prior to his current position, he worked for a prominent law firm in Indonesia.

Practice Description
During his years of practice, Alta has been involved in numerous deals and transactions including:
- Asssiting Chinese group of companies in acquiring manganese and iron ores mining companies in Aceh;
- Retainer lawyer of a subsidiary of a state-owned company conducting business in airport operations with respect to the general legal matters in relation to the establishment of its business activities;
- Assisting a private equity company based in Singapore with funds sourced from the Middle East Asia in coal and nickel trade activity in Kalimantan and Sumatera;
- Assisting a local logistic company in Indonesia in closing a financing deal with Brunei funding company through a sharia concept of musharaka with a total funding value of USD 9,000,000;
- Assisting a respected Malaysian investment holding company through its subsidiary in Singapore in order to acquire and develop mini-hydro power plant projects in Indonesia, specifically for the 9 MW power plant in West Sumatera and 12 MW power plant in West Java;
- Assisting a private equity company based in Singapore with funds sourced from Middle-East Asia to file arbitration proceeding against some of its buyers in relation to the breach of contract of the sale and purchase of coal agreement, with a total lawsuit amounting to approximately Rp. 8,7 Billion;
- Assisting a state-owned company conducting business in technology, with respect to the legal issue settlement with its sub-contractors in Telkom’s Trade-In Trade-Off project;
- Assisting and advising a consortium of stated-owned companies conducting business in construction and technology with respect to its participation to a bidding process of a light rail transit (LRT) project in West Java;
- Assisting a consortium of a state-owned company and a French-based company conducting business in construction with respect to the general legal matters in relation with the EPC process of a gas production facility in Central Sulawesi with the projected production capacity of 50 MMSCFD;
- Assiting a German-based company in its consortium agreement with a construction state-owned company with respect to mobile power plant and fixed-type gas engine power plant package IV (fixed power plant) – PLTMG Maumere 40MW – PLTMG Bima 50 MW – PLTMG Sumbawa 50 MW Project and also in negotiation with PT PLN (Persero).
